I
have been mesmerized by Louise Hay’s work ever since I read her book,
You Can Heal Your Life
, in the ‘80’s.
I used Louise’s book as a basis for the counseling I was
doing at the time for the school system and then eventually in my
private practice. The Mind/Body
connection espoused by Louise lead me to pursue many other facets of
that type of counseling, and eventually study Holistic Counseling.
I had already believed and learned from other authors that our
thoughts create our reality but Louise Hay brought it all together for
me. Her Heal Your Body
and You Can Heal Your Life books go with me wherever I go. Once
I read Louise’s story I became convinced that anything can be healed
and that we have the power to heal ourselves.
This has been the mainstay of my practice and the concept to
which I have dedicated my professional life to help others learn and
accomplish. Her work
changed my life because from the moment I read her story I knew I
would never again be a victim to circumstance, but rather the
empowered creator of my life. This
was the beginning of the Law of Attraction education for me. Louise
introduced me to affirmations and why and how they work and that they
do work. Adding energy
techniques to affirmations makes them a sure thing in a very short
time. Miraculous!
In
the process of my own professional development, I’ve studied
additional work with the mind/body connection and combine the Heal
Your Life® principles with Holistic Spiritual Counseling and Energy
Psychology. Every client
receives, on his or her first visit, a copy of Louise’s Power Points
which serves as the basis for the counseling I do.
I
dedicate myself to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual
healing of my clients as I become their guide and coach on their
healing journey. True
healing comes from within, I believe, and we must heal ourselves with
our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes.
